Baby & Me ~ Birth to 14 months
Mindful parenting with your baby
This weekly discussion group offers guidance and mutual support to mothers in the beginning months of their child’s life. Topics include sleep, creating an optimal environment, safety concerns, self-care for mom, nutrition, the importance of a predictable routine and how to encourage and respect your baby’s natural abilities and love of learning. Each week, there will be one main area of focus as well as a time for general discussion on areas of concern. Group members are encouraged to participate in a gentle, non-judgmental sharing of what it means to parent an infant and how to balance their life with the life of their baby.
The first three years of a child’s life are a unique time where patterns are being established that will last a lifetime. Awareness of ourselves as parents helps us to relate better to our child. Join us to spend time with a community of conscious parents, create life-long friendships and build a strong group experience.
Classes are facilitated by Maria Johnson, a parent-child specialist with over 30 years of experience in the fields of education and parenting, and Clancy August, a PCTE Infant/Toddler trainee and mother of three young children.

“An amazing source of support for me was the Mommy & Me group at the school, run by Maria Johnson. The group meets in a beautiful room which is full of interesting things for babies – so it was truly perfect once my baby daughter was mobile. This program made such a positive difference in my life. I cannot recommend it highly enough.” — Current Parent
