Supplies List for Junior II Students

Please send the following items with your child on the first day of school.

School supplies:

  • 2 packs lined paper, wide-ruled, hole-punched.
  • 2 Packs graph paper.
  • 2 boxes of #2 pencils.
  • Manual pencil sharpener that holds shavings that is small enough to fit into a pencil bag.
  • Post it pads:  3 packs for note-taking purposes (3 x 3 size).
  • 2 highlighters in color of your choice.
  • Erasers:  1 large and some small pencil erasers.
  • Glue stick – small
  • Scissor
  • Level 3 students should start the year with a three-ring nylon binder that closes by zipper or Velcro for their homework organization.
  • Level 1 and 2 students will receive home folders for this purpose.

Other supplies and clothing:

  • Art shirt: Oversized t-shirt to be kept at school for messy projects.
  • Change of clothes:  Complete set to be kept at school, labeled. We supply blue cloth bags for students to keep these clothes in.
  • Outside shoes/ inside shoes: The students should have a pair suitable for fitness activities and outdoor running, as well as durable and comfortable inside shoes.
  • Lunch box and supplies: The students need a lunchbox to go back and forth each day.  We will provide paper plates, but do ask that students pack two cloths daily that can be used as a placemat and as a napkin.   Also, if they need utensils we encourage you to pack a travel set so we are not producing so much consumable waste on a daily basis.  Re-usable containers are also suggested.
  • Back pack: Each student needs a backpack that that will hang on a hall hook – please do not purchase the messenger bag type, they will not fit in the hanging area.  Backpacks should not exceed 15” wide and should be manageable for students to carry on a daily basis.
  • Appropriate fitness clothes and shoes for your fitness day.
  • Sweatpants or shorts of bendable and breathable material (No zippers, pockets, or belt loops on sweatpants or shorts
  • T-shirt or sweatshirt made of cotton
  • Athletic shoes with adequate foot support
  • Hair tied back if long
  • No jewelry, including watches
    • Appropriate dress-up clothing for dress up days
    • Boys: Dress coat, sport coat, or blazer; collared shirt and tie, or turtle-neck with a sweater; tailored pants; dress shoes (not athletic shoes)
    • Girls: Dress, skirt or tailored pants with blouse or sweater; tights under dress or skirt in winter
    • Review Elementary Handbook for any further dress code details.
