Gifts to the annual fund, capital projects and designated gifts are a vital source of support for the Princeton Montessori School. These contributions support tuition assistance, faculty salaries, additions, and improvements. There are a number of ways to contribute to the School that may enable you to realize immediate tax savings.
Additional information on all methods of giving are available through consultation with the Development Office. Since planned giving must be tailored to individual circumstances, the trustees are ready to work with you and your advisors to develop a strategy of giving that benefits you and the school.

The Crescendo Dream is Almost Here!
The Crescendo Building Expansion will more than double the size of the existing Elementary and Middle School portion of the school. The foundation was laid, walls built, concrete floors stamped, the underground plumbing and electrical rough-in all took place. Now roofs, windows, and doors are being installed along with framing and grading work. Soon students and their teachers will enjoy a new “Imaginarium” art studio, “Summit” multi-purpose room, “Infinity Center” for Math and Science, and “Crescendo” cultural arts center. These new environments reflect the needs of the young and older children and the dreams of the faculty and trustees. The Crescendo meets our desire for Princeton Montessori School to stay progressive in the 21st Century. Completion expected sometime this winter. Please support our capital campaign today!

Annual Campaign 2009 – 2010
Our annual campaign plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our school. We raise money to supplement tuition revenue and invest in program enhancements, teacher development, and building renovations. The goal is to keep Princeton Montessori School progressive, our environments fresh, and the teachers challenged. We want your child to receive the very best education possible and the annual fund goes a long way to helping us reach the high standards that we set.
This year we hope to reach our goal at $100,000. It will take each family’s participation. Our small community of parents, faculty, staff, trustees, young alumni, grandparents and friends can make a substantial difference in the lives of children and their futures. During these uncertain economic times, Princeton Montessori School is one place you can feel good about investing in your child’s future.
If you would prefer to designate your gift of a minimum of $1,000, please contact the Development Office for a list of needs identified by the Trustees. Also, consider giving a Gift of Gratitude in your teacher’s name with a contribution of $1,000 to the campaign.

Gifts of Cash Most gifts to Princeton Montessori School are made in cash. A cash gift entitles you to an income tax charitable contribution deduction.
Gifts of Appreciated Stock An outright contribution of long-term appreciated securities gives a double tax benefit: The charitable contribution is based on the full market value of the securities, and there is no capital gains tax on the appreciated value.
Life Income Gifts You may wish to make a substantial capital gift to the Princeton Montessori School but feel you cannot afford to give up the annual income produced by the property you intend to give. Our Planned Giving Program offers three ways you may retain income for yourself and/or another beneficiary: Pooled Income Funds, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and Gift Annuities.
Gifts of Real Estate Many donors wish to make gifts of real estate to the School. Gifts of real estate may eliminate potential problems associated with the settlement of estates.
Gifts of Tangible Property In planning your estate, you should remember that valuable collections and works of art will be subject to estate taxes. For such gifts of tangible property, you are entitled to an income tax charitable deduction amounting to the full market value of the object.
Gifts of Closely Held Stock If you give closely held stock to the School, you avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation of the stock and obtain an immediate income tax deduction for the full market value of the gift.
Gifts of Life Insurance Life insurance offers an attractive method for making a substantial gift to the School.
Bequests to the School The School has been the beneficiary of generous bequests, both large and small, from alumni and friends. All bequests, no matter how modest, have special importance to the School.
