  • Montessori Curriculum Explained - Parent Experience

    October 21, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

See, feel and experience the Montessori Method for yourself at a "Montessori Journey and Discovery Experience," to be presented on Saturday, October 21. This special event is designed to allow you to view and interact with the unique Montessori environment through the eyes of a child. The Montessori Journey and Discovery begins with an exploration of the classroom environment through the lens of quiet observation, gathering first impressions as you take in the sensory richness and detail of the Montessori classrooms, you may experience the sense of order and sequence which so elegantly engages the children. Following the silent observation, you’ll have a chance to actively engage with Montessori lessons and materials at each level. Throughout this portion, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and share reflections with other parents and staff. Finally, we will all join together to share reflections and observations. This event is open to current and future parents and interested families, educators and community members upon reservation. Space is limited for this special event; please rsvp to reserve your spot Target audience: All Parents and Community Members - Please RSVP

Parent Association

A way to get involved

parent assoc_FL

Pictured above are the 2015-16 Parent Association Officers.

Overview

The Princeton Montessori School Parent Association provides a forum for parents to have a voice and be involved in school life. It aims to foster a warm and welcoming sense of community for Princeton Montessori families through opportunities to be involved in regular meetings, volunteer activities, the Room Parent program, supporting and welcoming new parents, and social events. All Princeton Montessori parents are invited and encouraged to participate.

The Parent Association was formed to support the mission of the school, help build community, and contribute to the larger needs of the Princeton area.  The positive impact of the Parent Association is evident throughout the school, from personal communication related to your child’s program to the organization of philanthropic endeavors to personal outreach to incoming families.  The association helps maintain a dedicated parent Wi-Fi ready space in which parents are welcome to come in, relax, and connect.  This space also serves as a library of parenting books which current parents are welcome to borrow.  All parents are welcome to attend any of the committee meetings which are posted on the parent calendar.

In addition, the Parent Association will hold two meetings a year for the entire school community, one in November and one in April, in which the Parent Association co-chairs will share news of their work and answer questions related to the Association happenings. These meetings will include an address from the Head of School, and updates from the co-chairs about current Association projects.
