Bookends is an evening book club for Upper Elementary students and their parents. The club meets six times between October and May, and offers a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to connect over shared literature. Each Bookends gathering is led by a different Princeton Montessori School teacher, who also has the pleasure of choosing the book that will be read by the group. The gatherings include delicious food, a discussion of the book, and a fun activity for all. –
The most recent Bookends club was led by Mrs. Grazon and the book was, As Brave As You, by Jason Reynolds. The students and their parents created an “inside-outside room,” which was a central location in the novel. Collaboration, creativity, and lots of laughter were evident while students and parents worked together to complete their masterpieces!
