Mrs. McElheny is leading a program called Art Atelier at the Toddler and Primary levels. During this time, children are invited to explore open-ended art materials. This allows the children a hands-on introduction to the elements of art in a naturalistic and intuitive way.
The children are learning ways to embrace the grace of nature. Our presence in the vast outdoors opens us up to appreciate spontaneous nature-based activities cultivating creativity.
Bringing the sensory sensation of nature to the child, Toddler friends are brightening leaves with paint and creating collages with natural materials.
Primary friends get excited and connect with the earth by composing a floral design picture.
