“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”
― Maria Montessori
Artist and teacher Rob Stolzer recently visited the Upper Elementary art classes. Rob, an avid painter and illustrator and professor emeritus at University of Wisconsin, is also brother to PMonts art teacher, Lisa Stolzer.
During his visit, Rob shared some of his art with the students, explaining his methods for creating mixed-media free association works. He then invited the students to come and work with him, giving them the opportunity to draw, paint, and use dip pens in ink to create their own free association works. Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School students work in the TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) environment, an open art learning studio.
