School-Wide Food Drive
Now through November 8th
We are proud to announce that the first community service project of the 2021-22 year will be a school-wide food drive to support Mount Carmel Guild in providing Mercer County families in need with food for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Each year the Mount Carmel Guild provides 700-900 families throughout Mercer County with turkey and trimmings for their Thanksgiving dinner. This year will be especially challenging for the families in need and the Guild’s Thanksgiving program gives us a perfect opportunity to demonstrate our school’s spirit of caring. It also allows our students to learn about the needs of others and empowers them to make a difference in their own community. You may want to involve your children in choosing items for the Thanksgiving collection.
To help provide a complete Thanksgiving dinner package to each family, the Guild has a specific list of items they are seeking as contributions (see below).**Please do not include breakable or crushable items like glass jars, bottles, or cellophane bags.
The deadline to receive all items at the school is Monday, November 8th.
