The Lower Elementary students wrote letters to Justice Sonia Sotomayor to share their appreciation for her service on the Supreme Court. In addition to expressing their gratitude, the students asked questions about her role and shared their hopes for the future. Justice Sotomayor holds the distinction of being the third woman, the first woman of color, the first Hispanic, and the first Latina to serve on the Supreme Court. Lower Elementary student, Allie, had the opportunity to personally deliver the students’ letters!
