Beat the Heat!
Elementary SummerQuest students have settled into the summer routine. Their mornings allow work and play choice, freedom of movement, indoor or outdoor learning and play environments, and all the other components of our Montessori programs. Reading, read-aloud, and other choice curriculum works complement summer-specific choices that this age group loves. In the afternoons, students enjoy a rotation of structured group activities that involve crafts, nature, outdoors, art, music, cooking, water play.
The students have been keeping their brains and bodies active! They have created and presented plays, taken tennis lessons, created artwork, learned to play chess, and enjoyed games like the cup game, where they had to try and pour water into the cup of the person behind them.
