Lower Elementary’s Pre-loved Bookstore

By March 24, 2022Elementary

Passing on the Love of Reading

The Lower Elementary students did a ‘spring cleaning’ of used books in their households. They brought their books in to donate to our classroom bookstore. Each student was given $10 to shop for “new-to-you” books in the bookstore. The activity was designed to promote literacy and reinforce practical math skills such as identifying coins and counting money. The unpurchased books were donated to Mia Monterio, Princeton Montessori Middle School student, as part of her Wide Angle project to help benefit Homefront NJ’s Child Development Center.
