Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

The Lower Elementary students celebrated International Day of Peace with literature, group discussion, and creative expression. Each student created a beautiful piece of stained glass art.
In Commemoration of the International Peace Day, the Upper Elementary community began their day with a peace gathering. The children explored the Montessori Timeline of Peace and Human Rights, listened to the story of Deganawida – a Native American peacemaker, and painted peace symbols on rocks.
