Making connections between the classroom and the real world is at the heart of a Montessori education. In the words of Dr. Montessori, ‘..to establish the relationship between things is to bring knowledge.’
Middle Schoolers were able to utilize the beautiful weather and our outdoor classroom for their first Socratic Seminar of the year. Socratic seminars provide a space for students to engage in the joyful rigor of building knowledge as part of a community of learners and allow the teachers to assess students’ speaking and listening skill development.
