The Middle School students visited Lord Stirling Park in Basking Ridge for their annual orientation and community building trip. It was very hot, but along with Rich, a naturalist from Somerset County Environmental Education, they took a great tour through the wooded park and learned about succession, sustainability, and about many of the organisms in the ecosystem. When they returned to the Environmental Education center, they ate lunch, looked at some insects and arachnids, and then each grade hosted a bonding activity. There were a lot of tired students at the end of the day, but it was a great experience!
