Operation Gratitude is an organization who annually sends 200,000+ care packages filled with food, entertainment, hygiene, and handmade items, plus personal letters of appreciation to Veterans, First Responders, New Recruits, Wounded Heroes, their Care Givers, and to individually named U.S. service members deployed overseas and their families waiting at home.
The Middle School and third level Upper Elementary students joined forces to write letters to soldiers with the goal of lifting their spirits and giving thanks. Students reviewed the formal letter writing process, then discussed ways to express their appreciation for the protection these brave men and women provide to all Americans.
