The Upper Elementary students led our third School Spirit Day of the year. The third level students read the group the book “Have You Filled a Bucket Today”, by Carol McCloud. The book is about being a “Bucket Filler”, and how rewarding it is to express daily kindness. It also shows that when you fill someone’s bucket, you fill your own bucket too! After the story the students and teachers in the Primary, Elementary and Middle School programs broke into small groups for community building activities. They wrote down all kinds of ways they have, or could fill someone’s bucket. They but their thought in a little bucket and each group shared a few of their ideas. It was a great way for students in different programs to get to know and interact with each other. Everyone joined Mr. Mitnick in singing a few songs to round out the celebration.
