Montessori at Home

As we work to support our families our dedicated staff continue to give our families the communication, content and learning materials needed to ensure that children have a seamless Montessori education transition at home.

Please keep sharing pictures and ideas with us! It has been great to see and hear how things are going as we continue this remote learning experience.

Oliver and Edie enjoy riding bikes and doing crafts together.

Outside Morgan discovered a baby fir tree. After reading about Helen Keller see tried to guess object with out using her sense of sight. Family yoga time!

Anishka completed her vocabulary enrichment work and gets help from her big sister Anayra labeling her solar system puzzle.

Ajeer loved singing happily with Mrs. Vikram, learning the initial sound “m”, and “reading a book” to his friends.
Bernat was so happy to see his friends and do some work together.
Arjun and Dev have fun together at home.

Aanya and Riya get busy with painting work. A puzzle finished by Tristan – he wanted to send a picture to his teacher as soon as he finished!

Max is hard at work on his goals!

Stella and Morgan help out folding laundry and Morgan makes her “Layers of the Earth” from playdough as part of her 3rd year goals!

Stella is learning about the planets, making fossils and learning about dinosaurs, going for a nature walk and excavating numbers and marbles from ice with a mallet, and finally counting the number of marbles and matching to the numbers.

Lara celebrated her birthday, Zoha does some beading and Brooke and Skylar work together on the computer.

Adhya and Anamitra did an awesome job making dinner for the family every night of the week during their spring break.
Amrritha did some winter(spring) sowing this week. The repurposed milk jugs act as tiny greenhouses until the plants grow past the last frost date.
Eva and Sadie start their day connecting in with teachers and classmates. And finish the day doing a painting project with AfterSchool friends.
Lucas, Eva, Ava and Stella do some math in the kitchen, making dough triangles: Make a dough using 1 cup flour and ¼ cup of water. Knead well. Using a butter knife and ruler, measure and cut them into triangles of different sides (Label them – Equilateral, Isosceles and Scalene).
Jack and Ava keep busy with their remote learning assignments.
Max does some practical life dish washing, takes a walk outside and completes a puzzle.
The Middle School students have been working hard and collaborating with their classmates via Zoom. Here, they were just about to divide into small group “breakout rooms,” where they began their preparations for next week’s Socratic Circle discussion. We love seeing their smiling faces every day!
