  • Halloween Parade Event (P-MS)

    October 28, 2016 @ 8:45 am - 9:45 am

In celebration of Halloween, *Primary, Elementary, and Middle School students are invited to participate in our annual costume parade. Parents are invited to stay for the parade, followed by a short singalong for Primary and Lower Elementary students and parents. Primary, Elementary, and Middle School students may come to school dressed in costume. Primary children should wear their costumes over their clothes so that they can easily be removed after the parade, while Elementary children can *bring *clothes in a bag to change into after the parade. We request that costumes are tasteful and do not restrict a child's movement. No masks or play weapons of any sort, please! On this day, faculty will be present at the Elementary and Primary entrances for morning drop off as usual or feel free to park your car and walk your child into the building. (We ask you park in either the lower lot or at the church lot adjacent to ours. We would like to keep the upper lot open for our Toddler families so they can walk their little ones into the building.) Upon arrival, students should proceed to their classroom. Parents are welcome to have a cup of coffee in the main foyer while waiting for the parade to start.

Each year, the Middle School students enjoy a biking trip to Princeton on the day of the Halloween parade. In keeping with tradition, this year's trip is planned for Friday, October 28, 2016. On this day, the bus will leave for the D&R Canal towpath in Rocky Hill at approximately 10:00 am, following the Halloween parade. Bicycles will be delivered via truck to this location. Students will ride to Palmer Square and enjoy lunch on their own before returning to school at 3:00 pm.  On the day of the trip, students should bring:      -$30 - $40 to buy lunch (no more than $40 please)       -Gloves and a water bottle are recommended.     - A helmet is required.      -Students should be dressed for the weather (rain gear packed in a light backpack. On this day, students should bring their bicycles, helmets, and bike locks to school and place them in the gazebo adjacent to the Elementary/Middle School parking lot. Bikes should be in good condition with tires inflated and brakes checked. The bicycle should be the correct size for the student and the student's helmet must fit snuggly with no cracks. Bicycles must be taken home following the field trip. Please send us your online permission by Friday, October 21, 2016.
