    All are welcome to join us next Tuesday, May 22nd, from 8:45-10:00 am for the 8th Grade Community Project Symposium in the Summit Room. The community project focuses on community and service, encouraging students to explore their right and responsibility to implement service as action in the community. The community project gives students an opportunity to develop awareness of needs in various communities and address those needs through service learning. As a consolidation of learning, work on the community project engages students in a sustained, in-depth inquiry leading to service as action in the community. Community projects are student-centered and they enable students to engage in practical explorations through a cycle of inquiry, action and reflection. They help students to develop the attributes of the IB learner profile, provide students with an essential opportunity to demonstrate “approaches to learning” (ATL) skills developed through the IB Middle Years Program, and foster the development of independent, lifelong learners. Our students have worked on their projects since the beginning of the year, and they are eager to share their projects with the community. We hope you can come and see what they have accomplished!

Student Visits from China

Upper Elementary Welcomes Hong-Yu Hsien

A Special Visitor

We have a student visiting from China! Hong-Yu Hsien, who had previously attended our summer camp and is now nine years old, is spending the month of February with Upper Elementary. Hong-Yu and his family have returned briefly to Princeton over the Chinese winter break. Hong-Yu formerly attended the International Montessori School (MSB) in Beijing, which is an AMS-accredited school. Hong-Yu is enjoying his visit and hopes to return to Princeton Montessori for middle school in two years. He is an avid fencer, pianist, painter, and also studies double-bass. Please welcome Hong-Yu, mother Lucy Luo, and father Chiang Hsien when you see them!
