Communication: United by Words
On Friday, March 3rd, over 500 Montessori educators from around the state gathered at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ, for the annual NJMAC conference. Each year, Montessorians from around New Jersey come together as a community to share ideas, knowledge, passions, and love of children. It is always heartwarming to see so many educators and administrators that are so committed to the Montessori philosophy gathered under one roof.
Alona Procaccini, Sue Saad, Amy Gerstacker and Missy Bowman presented workshops on Toddler and Primary Education. Andrea O’Brian, Conference Chair and Vice President of NJMAC, welcomed guests to the event. Lisa Meisenbacher and Gwen Shangle, PCTE Director, promoted our teacher training center to prospective students.
The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood.
