All parents are invited!
Back to School Night provides an opportunity for parents to experience the life of their child in the course of a school day, learn more about curriculum, procedures, and practices, and get to know the teaching staff and fellow parents better. It is an event for parents, which includes a short presentation in children’s classrooms, followed by a social gathering for parents and teachers.
Middle School & Primary Students Learning Together
Tutoría y la amistad
Middle School students have a new community building project with the Primary students. Every Thursday they meet with the Primary students for 30 minutes to work on Spanish. It is a wonderful way for the oldest students in the school to connect with and mentor younger children. The students of both ages enjoy developing these nurturing relationships with each other and their weekly meetings become something both groups look forward to.
By the time students reach Middle School, they have become quite good at expressing themselves and communicating with one another. Part of our Middle School program is to ensure that they utilize these abilities to be both leaders and productive members of the community. The opportunity to work with the Primary students is a great way to practice these skills.
The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood.
