February School Spirit Day

The theme for this year’s School Spirit Days is “Wings”. Each program takes a turn hosting a Spirit Day with creative presentations and activities. For February’s School Spirit Day, Lower Elementary students gave a presentation on “Spreading Kindness”. They talked about spreading kindness in the classroom, making kindness resolutions, and spreading kindness in the community. They sang the song “Put a Little Love in Your Heart”.Following the presentation, Primary through Middle School students worked together to make take-home meal bags for TASK. Over the past few weeks, families have generously donated food to the Parent Association’s Food Drive, the Primary children decorated bags, and the Lower Elementary students made kindness cards. Upper Elementary and Middle School students led the bag assembly project during Spirit Day with the help of parent volunteers. Each student was invited to fill up a meal bag. Middle School students packed up the finished bags and parents, Monica Friedman and Iwen Ho, delivered the bags to TASK. Thank you to the Parent Association Community Service Chair, Catherine Hilton, for organizing this event, to the parent volunteers, and to the entire school community for helping to make this event a great success!

Spirit Day ended with an upbeat performance by the rock band.

Spirit Days happen 4 times a year. The community wears our school shirts or colors, and Primary, Elementary, and Middle School students, teachers, and staff come together for a special school spirit day assembly.
