Primary through Middle School children gathered to celebrate our final School Spirit Day of the year. This year’s theme is “Wings,” and each program took turns hosting our Spirit Days with creative presentations and activities. Primary students hosted the last school spirit day of the year, celebrating Earth Day. During Spirit Day, the Primary violin students played for the community, the third-year Primary students read We Are All Connected, and the entire Primary program sang the Earth song, “Earth, We’re in It Together,” a song that captures the spirit of unity and care for our planet. To inspire a sense of community and connection, the students crafted over 120 Earth-themed necklaces. These special creations were gifted to every primary student, teacher, and administrator to wear as part of our Earth Day celebration.
The celebration concluded with everyone planting sunflowers in special pots that the students decorated and exchanged with other students. Primary friends enjoyed having a picnic lunch together and spent the remainder of the day outdoors, connecting to nature. Happy Earth Day!
Spirit Days happen 4 times a year. The community wears our school shirts or colors, and Primary, Elementary, and Middle School students, teachers, and staff come together for a special school spirit day assembly.
