Eighth Grade Spotlight

By May 8, 2025Alumni

We spotlight each of our Eighth graders and ask them to reflect on their Middle School experiences and share some of the highlights and what they are most proud of.

Meet Finn Ulle

What is one of your favorite highlights from the middle school program?

What I’ll remember most are the people. I always felt like I was part of a close, caring community. Whether we were working on group projects, helping each other in class, or just having fun during lunch and breaks, it always felt like everyone could truly be themselves. The teachers really took the time to get to know us and always supported us. These moments taught me the value of collaboration, kindness, and being part of something bigger than myself. I’ve grown not just academically, but also as a person. As I move on, I’ll carry these memories and lessons with me wherever I go.

What skill(s) did you develop thanks to your Montessori/IB education that are you most proud of?

One skill I’m really proud of learning is how to manage my time and work independently, something we practiced a lot at PMonts. A great example of this is the Community Project. I had to choose a topic I cared about, plan everything out, and take real action to make a difference. For my project, Paws of Comfort, I brought my dog to the Lambertville Food Pantry to brighten people’s days and support emotional well-being. I stayed organized, met deadlines, and remained focused from start to finish. It taught me a lot about responsibility and showed me that I can make a real impact on others.

What will you miss the most after you graduate from PMonts?

Definitely the people. PMonts has always felt like a second home, and I’ll really miss the teachers, my classmates, and the way we could always ask questions and explore what we were curious about. It’s a place where I felt safe to try new things and grow.

PMonts has been a big part of my life, and I’m truly thankful for everything I’ve learned here.
