As part of this year’s theme, Community in Unity, we have a new program called “Buddy Bunches”. Buddy Bunches are mini community groups comprised of Kindergarten, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School students, paired with a teacher or faculty member. On our November School Spirit Day, we kicked off our Buddy Bunch program.
The Monday before Thanksgiving was our second Buddy Bunches meeting. The students gathered in the Crescendo room in their Buddy Bunches to do a gratitude activity. They discussed what it means to be thankful, and made lists of some of the things they are especially grateful for.

Selecting colored beads to correspond with the items on their lists, they each made Thankful Bracelets as reminders of what we are thankful for in our lives.
It was a great way to recognize the Thanksgiving holiday!
