Last week, we had the Grace and Courtesy Luncheon, and all the students were very excited. The cuisine was Mediterranean, which was ordered from the restaurant Efes. The menu had Chicken Adana, Gyro, hummus and pita, salad, falafel, zucchini pancakes, rice, and, for dessert, we had rice pudding. Our guest of honor was Ms. Saad, and everyone had a great time.Last Wednesday was a day off for teachers and students because of a power outage. It was declared not safe for anyone to be at school.

In last week’s cultural classes, the 5th graders learned about physics and Newton’s laws of motion, and they even got to make paper airplanes. The 4th graders learned about the parts of the river and finished their country projects. The 3rd graders learned about cells in biology. We had two public speaking sessions last week. The first one was Anishka’s public speaking on Whale Sharks, which was inspired by her experience swimming with them. The second one was Adara’s, which was on Women’s Soccer. It was inspired by her current hobby of playing travel soccer for PFC.
