The NMR library is under renovation as we transform the room into a more parent-friendly and functional space. This room will include an updated library of books on parenting and child development (including all Common Ground author and speakers’ books), a more spacious and functional beverage area, and improved seating and wifi working area.
Also new….the room is getting a tweak to its name! It will now be The Rambusch Parent Library & Lounge.
Nancy McCormick Rambusch, for whom the room was named after, was an important leader in the American Montessori Society and Montessori education’s resurgence in the United States in the late 1950s. She was also a great friend to our school and had written and lectured extensively on the value of a Montessori education. As we began to include the idea of a parent lounge as part of the space, many parents, we found, were unsure of what ‘NMR’ stood for and so we thought the change in name would help in celebrating her contributions and affiliation with Princeton Montessori School. As you enter the room, you will see the new wall dedicated to her. Look for copies of her lectures and her impactful book, ‘Learning How to Learn: An American Approach to Montessori’ (1962) prominently displayed in our library.
