COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY
The Parent Association’s Community Service Committee is dedicated to helping Princeton Montessori School give back to the community. We are pleased to announce the start of our 12th Annual Food Drive to benefit the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). TASK provides food for those who are hungry and offers programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of its patrons.
Our goal is for the students to assemble 300+ dinner bags to deliver to TASK on the next School Spirit Day, February 1st (donation dates: January 15 – January 31st). We encourage all members of our school community to participate. This school-wide effort has consistently been a huge success. Let’s do it again in 2024!
Students’ Participation: The food drive allows students to learn about the needs of others and empowers them to make a difference in their community. All Primary through Middle School students participate in the food drive through age-appropriate activities, from making cards to decorating and assembling the food bags.
How to Participate: We have divided the food items needed by school program, as outlined below. We also need parent volunteers to help during Spirit Day. We hope you will join us in contributing!
In-person donation delivery: You may deliver items for donation at drop-off/pick-up. There will be bins outside to place your items.
Delivery via Amazon: You can ship an Amazon order directly to the school.
Shipping Address: Princeton Montessori School, 487 Cherry Valley Road, Princeton, NJ 08540, ATTN: TASK Food Drive
Spirit Day In-Person Volunteers: We need ten parents to volunteer their time to help students with bag assembly during Spirit Day, February 1st from 8:45 am to 10:00 am.
