Upper Elementary students recorded a staged reading of their musical, “Tales & Tunes from Mt. Olympus”.
It is a Princeton Montessori school tradition for the Upper Elementary students to perform a musical each spring. In a non-pandemic year, the students would spend an entire week immersing themselves in all aspects of preparing for a live performance, and the week would culminate with a performance in the afternoon for other students and an evening performance for parents and friends. While Covid-19 made it impossible to host a live performance this year, thanks to the creativity of our UE team and the amazing Mr. Mitnick, UE students adapted and performed their very own interpretation of the musical, outdoors, and covid-safe! We are glad that students were able to experience live theatre in an inclusive and rewarding way despite the challenges of the pandemic.
