Upper Elementary Snapshot

Upper Elementary 3rd grade students finished the end of their informational reading and writing unit by creating didactic wall panels that could be used in an aquarium to explain why and how scientists study certain marine animals. Before beginning this interdisciplinary project, they were able to take a virtual tour of the real National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland.

4th graders are using the checkerboard to explore multiplication with 2 digit multipliers.5th-grade students exploring the magnetic field around unlike and like poles using iron filings.

On Wednesday, January 20th, students spent most of the morning viewing special inauguration programming by Discovery Education and watched the oath ceremony for Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden.
