Science Experiments

By November 10, 2022Middle School

A Montessori Middle School education offers an experiential, dynamic approach to each subject area, integrated studies between programs, and a focus on character development and self-exploration.

In science, middle schoolers have been learning about climate change mitigation strategies. They’ve been exploring the earth’s climate system, analyzing complex data, and evaluating strategies that the global community can employ to mitigate the damage to our atmosphere. Students researched individual strategies such as various clean energy sources, transportation efficiency, and carbon capture in order to participate in a mini-summit to create a mitigation plan for greenhouse gas emissions.

This is just in time for the United Nations COP 27 Conference that is occurring now in Egypt. Students had to use skills in evaluation, negotiation, and complex decision-making in order to create the best plan they could to save the world!
