Exploring Local and Global Issues

By February 17, 2016Uncategorized

In Middle School, part of our work with students is to give them a global perspective on issues.  Over the course of the year, our 8th grade students have investigated local and global issues that are important to them.  They have educated themselves and their peers about their chosen issue, and they are now planning a project to help improve or bring attention to the matter.  Now, we could use your help.  If you or someone you know works or volunteers with a group that helps or investigates one of these topics, would you consider spending a little time talking with one of our 8th grade students to give him/her information or help with his/her project?  The selected topics include:

animals in shelters
inner city school funding
water pollution
food waste
animal trophy hunting
gun control
