Gifts and Challenges

By January 14, 2021Uncategorized

During the school year, Upper Elementary students study character traits and virtues in their weekly “Gifts and Challenges” classes. They work on topics such as patience, courtesy, gratitude, perseverance, responsibility and leadership.  At the end of the year, each student chooses a character trait to reflect on and writes an essay on the topic.

Recently in “Gifts and Challenges” the third graders explored the character trait – empathy.  They dialogued through different situation prompts to gain a deeper understanding of empathy.
