Primary children enjoy working in the newly prepared playground area, the Nature Area, which children have coined their “outdoor kitchen”. Children are encouraged to experiment with simple natural materials, providing endless opportunities for nature-centered play and learning. At the heart of Montessori’s philosophy lies the belief that children need the freedom to explore natural things. The Nature Area engages students in rich sensorial experiences, practicing social interactions and a place for spontaneous activity.
