The Elementary extended calendar children created and performed two short stories to the delight of the Primary children. They re-created the tale of The Ugly Duckling and The Little Gingerbread GIRL, working together to design costumes and scenery to depict the classic stories. Imaginative play is an important part of the Montessori philosophy and having older students guide the younger children enables the teachers to stand aside and let the children create something of their own design.
