Upper Elementary students participated in festivities to celebrate the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 due to pi being roughly equal to 3.14. Level 3 students gave lessons to the younger Upper Elementary students on the parts of a circle and π, and how pi represents the relationship between a circle’s diameter and its circumference. All the students then celebrated with many delicious varieties of pies!
