On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Primary children will visit the Princeton Art Museum. The purpose of the trip is three-fold: to expose the children to real art, to teach them art museum etiquette, and to inspire their creativity.
On this day, students will depart from school at 9:30 am and arrive back to school at 11:15 am. They will have lunch upon their return.
We will not be visiting the gift shop. Please do not send money with your child. The trip will take place rain or shine. If it is raining, the children will need raincoats; please do not bring umbrellas.
What to bring/wear:
- Wear comfortable walking shoes (no flip flops)
- Wear raincoats as needed (no umbrellas)
Please submit your permission by Monday, July 23rd.
Each year, the Upper Elementary students take an overnight camping trip to Camp Bernie in Port Murray, NJ. This trip offers children an opportunity to gain a sense of independence with the freedom to be themselves, while spending time outdoors and learning more about their natural surroundings. The students experienced rock climbing, a ropes course and archery, as well as team building and other active social education activities. The evening campfire is always a favorite activity. Camp Bernie is one of the highlights of the year and not even a little rain could dampen the students spirits!
The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood.
