Each year the Middle School students enjoy a fall bike trip to Princeton. The students pedaled along the D&R Canal towpath starting in Rocky Hill, through the iconic Princeton University campus, and into town. They had the chance to experience independence downtown, enjoying lunch, a little shopping, and simply spending time with friends in a different setting. This trip continues to be a highlight each year, a balance of responsibility, freedom, and fun!

These experiences are invaluable at this age. Both Maria Montessori and the IB framework emphasize the importance of fostering independence. Building confidence, accountability, negotiating group dynamics, adhering to a budget, time management, physical fitness, map skills, bicycle awareness, and safety…all a continuation of the Montessori Practical Life curriculum.
