Our Upper Elementary Faculty Shine – inside the classroom and in the community!
At Princeton Montessori School, our faculty members are developmental specialists for the ages they teach. All lead educators hold a Montessori teaching credential for their level and many hold advanced degrees. Sharing their expertise, through workshops or presenting at professional conferences, is a rewarding experience and a way to educate the community and promote our school.

Huma Kazmi recently presented at the American Montessori Society Conference in Orlando FL
Uniting with Montessori Principles for Holistic Education
This 45-minute intensive Deep Dive explored asset-based pedagogies, and innovative educational approaches that emphasize identifying and nurturing students’ strengths and assets rather than focusing on their deficits. They aim to create a positive, empowering learning environment that fosters holistic development. The session delved into three asset-based pedagogical frameworks, elucidated their goals, and demonstrated how they align with Montessori pedagogy. The session proposed potential areas for improvement within Montessori’s approach to further enrich the educational experience.
In this age of misinformation, critically analyzing information from generative AIs is crucial for adolescents to successfully navigate the virtual world. This workshop aims to equip parents and educators with essential tools to foster skills that empower them to be mindful users of technology. Presented by Aish Saminathan, the New Jersey ambassador for the News Literacy Project. Aish is a former journalist turned Montessori teacher at Princeton Montessori School. She teaches math, science for upper elementary and critical media literacy for middle school students. Please register to receive the link to the program.
