School Spirit Day & Community Service Event

By February 26, 2026All Programs, Community Service

Primary through Middle School students gathered together to celebrate our third School Spirit Day. The community came together in the Crescendo room to complete the TASK Community Service project organized by the Parent Association.

The Lower Elementary students hosted the event. As part of their presentation, the students read The Big Umbrella by Amy June Bates Just as the big umbrella in the story stretches wide enough to shelter all who gather beneath it, they created their own Princeton Montessori School umbrella as a symbol of belonging and inclusion. Each student was invited to sign their name underneath the umbrella, showing that no matter our differences, we all fit here. The students also sang “Lean on Me”. Students and parent volunteers got busy assembling the meal bags for TASK. Over the past few weeks, families donated food, Primary students decorated bags, and Lower Elementary students made kindness cards to include in each meal bag. Each student was invited to fill a meal bag with help from Upper Elementary and Middle School students.

Middle School Rock Band performed to close out this special School Spirit Day.

Thank you to the parents for your generous donations, to the Parent Association Community Service Chair, Catherine Hilton, for organizing this event, to the parent volunteers, and to the entire school community for helping to make this event a great success!

Spirit Days happen 4 times a year, and the community wears our school shirts or colors, and Primary, Elementary, and Middle School students, teachers, and staff come together for a special community gathering.
