TODDLER
Wintertime is a special season for our toddlers to explore winter through language, stories, and sensory experiences. Children are introduced to animals from Antarctica and learn winter-related vocabulary such as hibernation, skiing, and snow. Sensory work with snow, songs like Five Little Snowmen, winter-themed art, and beloved stories such as The Mitten enrich their understanding of the season.
Although the cold weather does not always allow us to spend time outdoors, the teachers bring in the snow and ice for the toddlers to explore.

PRIMARY
Although it is cold, students still have a chance to get outside and enjoy the snow during recess time! Primary children have a newfound appreciation for the outdoors and have been taking advantage of the courtyard spaces just outside our classrooms. They find endless inspiration in the snowy transformation of our playground, searching for animal tracks, building snowmen, and taking in the beauty of nature. Outdoor play like this nurtures independence, cooperation, and a lifelong love of learning.
