Continuing our farm-to-school connection, farmer Alec Gioseffi, after hosting the Middle School at his new property, came in to the classroom to talk about soil management. Students are studying earth science this year, and this tie-in will help them to see the connection between their learning and practical application. Mr. Gioseffi demonstrated how run-off and porosity are very different in different types of soil. The students were able to handle the soil and participated in the soil experiments.
