The Elementary students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month, which lasts from September 15 to October 15 in the United States, and is a yearly event that celebrates the cultural heritage and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. It is a time when Americans come together to pay tribute to the vital role that Hispanic and Latino Americans have played in shaping the country’s history and culture, by learning about the lives, cultures, and histories of Hispanic individuals. After a lesson, the Lower Elementary students collaborated on a class book to showcase the accomplishments and contributions of numerous historical figures. Over the next 21 school days, every student will have the opportunity to present their page in the book during our class meetings. The students have also been busy during Spanish class! LE students made flags of the 21 Spanish-speaking countries and read books related to the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.

UE students did a project about famous Latinos, including leaders in the United States and Spanish-speaking countries. They have also been studying culture, traditions, food, and more.
