Middle school students learned about DNA and genetics and then designed an experiment to find out which traits in a bean plant are dominant and which are recessive. The students planted purebred dominant and purebred recessive plants, cross-pollinated them, harvested the seeds, and planted the new seeds to see which traits were visible.
