Last week was another fun week at Upper Elementary. Many things happened during the week, most of it being quite fun.

The Fourth Graders are in Biology with Mr. Shangold. They are studying adaptation and evolution from their chosen animals. They are preparing a slideshow presentation about their animals, they really enjoy doing this.

The Third Graders are in Physical Science with Mrs. Lobo. They are studying the Physical Properties of matter and mixture. They learned that a heterogeneous mixture turned into a homogenous mixture due to the change of heat as they made Brigadeiro, a delicious Brazilian sweet. They said that their favorite part of the last few weeks was making, offering, and most of all, eating the Brigadeiro.

The Fifth Graders are in Geography with Mrs. Kiff. They are preparing slideshows about a country in Asia, mainly focusing on The Five Themes of Geography. The five themes include: Movement, Location, Place, Region, and Human Environment Interaction. The Fifth Graders enjoyed studying Human Environment Interaction and making slides about it.

Last Thursday was also School Spirit Day! It was led by the Fifth Graders. They did a wonderful job.

There were also two public speaking presentations. Allie did her presentation on 3D printing. Ashwin did his presentation on Play-Doh.

It was definitely a fun-packed and eventful week for the Upper Elementary Students.
