Dinosaur Topiary

By September 14, 2017Uncategorized
You may have noticed that the old Stegosaurus climber on the Primary playground is being transformed into a dinosaur topiary!  With time, it will become a big green topiary.  Mrs. Hammer came up with the idea and has been working hard to make it a reality, brainstorming with Mrs. Luke and Mrs. Robinson.
.
Underneath the Stegosaurus belly, there is a sandpit which will be used for archeological digs.  The elementary After School children are making “fossils” of ammonites and trilobites.
The pit is covered with a tarp, which can easily be removed by a teacher to lead a dig. There are also plans to make dinosaur footprint stepping stones! Stay tuned as this project evolves!
