Meet Susan Ladd

Sue Ladd joined Princeton Montessori School in 2018 and is an assistant in the Middle School program. She worked for several years in the Upper Elementary classroom.

What do you love about working with children?

Working with children reminds me how amazing and wonderful the world can be. They come up with the most interesting ideas and aren’t afraid to try new things. Every day is an adventure!

What drew you to Montessori?

What resonates with me about the Montessori method is the stress on independence.  I like that students are encouraged to do the work of finding answers and trying things on their own.

What’s one thing you’d like families to know about you?

My role as an Assistant Teacher in the Middle School is to oversee the students during independent work and assist the conference teachers in any way possible, which might include helping with a lesson, checking math work, and supervising lunch and recess.

.

Susan received a B.S. in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey, where she also attended graduate-level classes for Reading and Media Specialist. She holds a NJ teaching certificate.

Susan brings many years of teaching experience from the Franklin Township School district. During that time she was a classroom teacher, an In-Class Resource cooperating teacher, and Media Specialist. She has experience with Curriculum Writing, and developing strategies for differentiated learning.
