A Montessori Middle School education offers an experiential, dynamic approach to each subject area, integrated studies between programs, and a focus on character development and self-exploration.
Middle School students kicked off the new year with some fun activities in Design and Science!
Group B was challenged with designing a hydraulic Bridge. For the first phase, they designed and built a Truss bridge demonstrating the power of triangles. The winning bridge supported 25kg before it started to give way. In the second phase, they designed a hydraulic-powered mechanism to raise and lower the bridge deck.
Group A was assigned an Interdisciplinary unit. They started with a base zipline racer and studied the science involved in creating a lightweight, aerodynamic racer. Then, they went through a scientific investigation to improve the design and develop a faster racer!
