The farmers from Cherry Valley Co-Op visited the Middle School students to talk about growing seasons in New Jersey, cold-tolerant crops, and food storage for winter months, including canning, freezing, fermenting, and brining. The students made kimchee with cabbage, carrots, radishes, garlic, and peppers from the farm. They had a great time and are eager, in 5-7 days, to taste the sample jars that they got to bring home.
