Successful Food Drive

By November 12, 2020All Programs, Community Service

The first community service project of the 2020-21 year was a huge success! We received generous donations from our community and an anonymous donor delivered 12 turkeys to Mount Carmel Guild!  The organization was so grateful for the support from Princeton Montessori School in helping to provide Mercer County families in need with food for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Each year the Mount Carmel Guild provides 700-900 families throughout Mercer County with turkey and trimmings for their Thanksgiving dinner. This year will be especially challenging for the families in need and the Guild’s Thanksgiving program gave us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our school’s spirit of caring. It also allowed our students to learn about the needs of others and empowered them to make a difference in their own community.

A big thank you to our Parent Association Community Service Co-chairs, Providence More, and Rebecca Piccone for coordinating this event.
